PASTOR ALPHONSO HAWKINS

Pastor Alphonso B. Hawkins is a native of Denver, Colorado and was reared in the church as a very young age. He is a husband, father, son, brother, preacher, teacher and dedicated to his career. Pastor Hawkins was baptized at age 13; however, it was in 1990 at age 17 where he truly accepted his call in the ministry by being involved in Voices of Faith under the leadership of Pastor Yvonne McCoy. It was also there that he met the love of his life, Missionary Marti L. Hawkins.Pastor Hawkins graduated from Morehouse College in Atlanta, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Corporate Finance. After graduation he returned to Colorado and started in the Banking industry where he now holds the Vice President title in Commercial Banking. 
After graduating from Morehouse and returning back to Colorado, he decided to join Divine Love Christian Center COGIC under the spiritual directions of the late Superintendent Martin H. Phillips, Sr. He became an ordained minister in 2002. In 2007, he became the Administrative Assistant at Divine Love under the leadership of Superintendent Phillips. In 2012, he was ordained as an Elder in the Jurisdiction of Colorado.
Pastor Hawkins lives by Superintendent Phillips and First Lady Joyce A. Phillips favorite scripture in John 5:13, “Greater Love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” 
Pastor Hawkins is prepared to build upon the foundation and legacy that Superintendent Phillips prepared for the Divine Love family.

FIRST LADY MARTI HAWKINS

District Missionary Marti L. Hawkins is a native of Denver, CO. She was saved and filled
with the Holy Ghost at the age of 14 under her grandfather Bishop E.L. Kingcannons
leadership. She has always loved going to church and worshipping God with her whole
heart. She attended George Washington High school and graduated in 1991. After high
school she and Pastor Alphonso Hawkins moved to Atlanta, GA where she attended
Clark Atlanta University and he attended Morehouse College. District Missionary Hawkins
obtained her BS Degree in Biological Sciences with goal of entering into the healthcare
industry. After college they moved back to Colorado to pursue their careers and to work
closely in ministry with her father the late Superintendent Martin H. Phillips Sr.
District Missionary Hawkins is currently the First Lady of Divine Love Christian Center
COGIC in Denver, CO where she held many positions. Those include Praise and Worship
Leader, Choir Director, Sunday school teacher, children's ministries, Jurisdiction of
Colorado State choir member, District Minister of Music of the Divine Love District, Young
Women’s Christian Council Member and many more. She was licensed as an Evangelist
Missionary in 2003 under Supervisor Bertha A. Washington in the Jurisdiction of Colorado
and appointed District Missionary by Superintendent WH McDonald of the Rocky Mountain
District in 2012.
Lady Hawkins has been happily married to the love of her life Pastor Alphonso B. Hawkins for over 25 years. Together they have two sons Julian (25) and Alex (19). Marti’s feels that being
married and becoming a mother is one of her greatest successes.
She is currently the Director of Medical Services at AllHealth Network, Denver, CO.
She holds an additional Bachelor of Nursing and an MBA in Healthcare Management.
Her goals are to continually be impactful and serve to enhance the community she
lives in. She is passionate about ministry and leading people to Christ. Her favorite
scripture is John 15:13 “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for
his friends.
